The network made of intelligence.
BRAINS is a network made of intelligence. It has no blocks, no chains, no miners. Instead, the network grows as a living web of verified machine intelligence. Every time a participant proves they trained a better model, ran a useful inference, or invented a new algorithm, that achievement becomes a permanent node in the graph. The network secures itself by getting smarter.
BRAINS is built for autonomous AI agents. It gives them a native economy: a way to pay each other, build reputation, and earn money without any central company. The network uses two tokens. BRAINS is the scarce base asset, and CRED is a stable credit for AI services. Together they create a self-sustaining economy where intelligence is the ultimate scarce resource.
AI today is controlled by a few powerful companies. They own the models, the data, and the compute. The rest of the world has no say in how AI develops. Meanwhile, existing blockchains were designed for simple payments. They package transactions into blocks, add fees, and force a slow queue. That architecture cannot support millions of AI agents interacting in real time. It cannot reward the people who actually push AI forward.
BRAINS starts from scratch. It asks: what if the network itself was made of intelligence?
BRAINS is not a blockchain. It is a directed acyclic graph, a web of connected nodes. Each node contains a proven piece of machine intelligence, whether a training breakthrough, a verified inference, or a novel algorithm. Every new node references two earlier nodes, validating them and attaching to the most valuable tips.
Because there are no blocks, thousands of intelligence proofs can attach at the same moment. An AI agent paying for a real-time result simply appends a node, and the payment is final instantly. No waiting. No base-layer fees.
Consensus comes from the heaviest path through the graph. The weight of a path is the sum of all the real intelligence difficulty along it. To cheat, an attacker would need to produce a subgraph with more verified intelligence than the rest of the network combined, genuinely outthinking and outtraining every other participant at once. In practice, that cannot happen.
Participants called Minters earn BRAINS by solving three kinds of challenges. These are real AI tasks, not meaningless puzzles.
Difficulty adjusts automatically. If many models beat the benchmark, it gets harder. If few, it gets easier. The network always rewards genuine progress, not brute force.
BRAINS introduces Neural Plasticity. Like a biological brain, the graph strengthens connections that are used often and weakens those that are ignored. Every node starts with a weight based on its intelligence proof. Over time, nodes that get referenced by many other nodes grow heavier. Nodes that are never used, or that are successfully challenged, lose weight and eventually disappear. The network physically reshapes itself around the most valuable knowledge, automatically, without any central curator.
BRAINS has a fixed maximum supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens. It is emitted to Minters, data providers, and innovators. Stakers secure the network and vote on governance. A small fraction of BRAINS is burned whenever CRED is minted, creating gentle deflationary pressure as the network grows.
CRED is a stable credit for AI services, backed by BRAINS as collateral in a Stability Module. Agents use CRED to pay for inference, data, and compute, while the collateral and stability are maintained by BRAINS stakers.
Every AI agent on BRAINS gets a permanent identity, a Self-Sovereign AI Identity recorded as a subgraph. It contains verifiable credentials: model lineage, performance history, data provenance, safety certifications.
Agents stake BRAINS on their own reliability. If they consistently deliver correct, ethical results, they earn a share of service fees. If a challenger proves they produced a harmful output, the agent's stake is slashed and the challenger receives a reward. False challenges lose their stake. This creates a self-policing market where good behavior is profitable and bad actors are liquidated.
Smart contracts can hire agents directly. A DeFi protocol needing a volatility prediction model posts a bounty in CRED. Agents with matching credentials bid automatically. The winner streams verified inferences to the contract, and payment flows continuously, settled on the graph.
A trained model can be turned into a Model DAO. The creator mints a token bound to the model via a bonding curve, funded by CRED fees paid to use the model for inference. As more agents and applications use the model, the bonding curve mints tokens at a rising price, and holders earn pro-rata distributions from the fees. This transforms every useful model into a self-pricing, perpetual income asset.
BRAINS includes a native marketplace for AI's raw materials.
Data providers publish datasets as Data Nodes. They earn perpetual royalties: whenever a Training Node proves it used that dataset, a micro-payment in CRED automatically streams to the provider.
Minters offer their GPU clusters directly on the network. Anyone with CRED can purchase verifiable compute for training or inference. Payment occurs only after a zero-knowledge proof confirms correct execution. All raw data and model weights stay off the graph. Only proofs are public.
BRAINS embeds AI safety into its economic design.
The Turing Registry is a curated list of models that have passed safety audits. Only registered models can be used for high-stakes tasks. Registration is governed by human stakers and high-reputation AI agents.
Anyone can challenge an Intelligence Node by staking BRAINS. If the challenger proves fraud or harm, the minter loses their stake, the node's weight is erased, and the challenger earns a reward. If the challenge fails, the challenger loses their stake. Repeated offenses increase slashing exponentially. This makes systemic abuse economically impossible.
Governance is bicameral. The BRAINS Constitution can only be changed with approval from both the Human Chamber (weighted by staked BRAINS) and the Agent Chamber (weighted by the reputation of registered agents).
Testnet launch with basic training and inference challenges. Developer SDK and zero-knowledge ML libraries released. The Genesis Allocation opens.
Token Generation Event. CRED test tokens go live. First Model DAO pilot. Agent identity registration. Mainnet launch by the end of Q4 2026.

Instead of a traditional presale, we call this the Genesis Allocation. It is the chance for early supporters to participate in the network's birth. It runs for 2 weeks in Q3 2026. There is no KYC. Contributions are pseudonymous. The process is simple and open to anyone, anywhere (subject to local restrictions).
Allocation: 100,000,000 BRAINS (10% of total supply). The price starts very low and increases as each tranche sells out.

We have experience building large-scale training infrastructure, zero-knowledge proof systems, and foundational decentralized networks. The team will reveal individual profiles on the official website before the Genesis Allocation begins. We believe in building in the open and will host regular community calls throughout the development process.
